This site is my personal portfolio. I'm not a company and I don't sell anything here, so this policy is short on purpose: it says exactly what this site collects, which is very little, and why.
Who this covers
This policy covers drewmartinez.io, a personal portfolio site owned and operated by me, Drew Martinez, as an individual. It doesn't cover any third-party site I link to.
What I collect
Two things. First, if you use the contact form, I receive whatever you type into it: your name, your email address, and your message. Second, this site uses Google Analytics to understand traffic in general terms, things like which pages get visited, roughly where visitors are located, and what device or browser they used. I don't have a mailing list you get added to, and I don't run advertising trackers.
What I use it for
Contact form submissions are emailed straight to me so I can reply. They are not stored in a database or CRM. The server keeps a small, temporary log of submission timestamps and IP addresses purely to block spam and abusive automated submissions, not to build a profile of anyone. That log isn't used for marketing and isn't shared with anyone.
Google Analytics data is used only to understand how people use this site, so I can improve it. It is not used to identify you personally, and I don't cross-reference it with contact form submissions.
Cookies
This site sets cookies from two sources. Cloudflare Turnstile sets one to protect the contact form from bots and spam; it doesn't track you across other sites or serve ads. Google Analytics sets its own cookies (typically named things like _ga) to distinguish visitors for traffic measurement; Google Analytics anonymizes IP addresses by default. You can read Cloudflare's privacy policy and Google's privacy policy for how each handles data, and you can opt out of Google Analytics tracking entirely using Google's browser opt-out tool or by using your browser's tracking-protection settings.
The free tools on this site
The tools linked from the Freebies section run entirely in your browser. Anything you type into them, or any file they generate for you to download, never leaves your device or touches a server I control.
Third-party links
Case studies and articles on this site link out to other sites (LinkedIn, past employers, publications, and similar). Once you leave drewmartinez.io, that site's own privacy policy applies, not this one.
Data sharing
I don't sell, rent, or share any information collected through this site with third parties, other than the minimal, functional use of Cloudflare described above to keep the contact form working.
Your choices
If you've submitted the contact form and want your message deleted from my inbox, or have any other question about what I hold, email me at me@drewmartinez.io and I'll take care of it.
Children's privacy
This site is a professional portfolio and isn't directed at children. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If what this site collects ever changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
